Comillas Pontifical University, in collaboration with Comillas University Foundation for International Education (COMFIE) in Washington, Fordham University in New York, Hekima College in Nairobi and Beijing Camino International Cultural Exchange Center (BCC) and Yunnan University in China.
Students from Comillas and other Spanish and non-Spanish universities have been participating in these programs for more than fourteen years.
The Inside Programs are International Professional Orientation Courses held every year for three weeks during the month of July in USA and Kenya or two to four weeks in June-July in China. In these courses, participants are offered the opportunity to gain an “inside” perspective on the work done in the US, Kenya and China by international organizations, institutions and companies in the areas of law, development, diplomacy, banking, business, scientific and technological progress and world peace.
Our students keep a tight schedule, filled with visits and meetings, and they meet people and visit companies in order to acquire information about job opportunities in the respective countries, as well as ways to develop internationally their professional future in an international context.
The Inside Programs do not follow the traditional academic format, with lectures, professors and exams. They are mainly multidisciplinary and interactive programs, where the student is the main focus of the experience. Participants attend professional lectures and carry out visits to the workplace, thus obtaining first-hand information on the economic, political and social reality of the country visited, while gaining knowledge of employment and educational opportunities.
The Inside Programs take place in a unique political, economic and learning environment, with the underlying purpose of encouraging students to participate actively throughout the course, to promote their entrepreneurial abilities at an international level, and their commitment to those who are in need . Our goal is to train free, independent and entrepreneurial people who are able to analyse current events and think objectively.
