“Universities need all of the functions that are performed by social centers”, said the Rector

giaNThe Ignatian Global Network for Political Involvement (or "Red Global Ignaciana de Incidencia Política", GIAN, in Spanish), held a meeting for some days in Spain, at the gathering of Networking for Justice, an international encounter with social coordinators of all of the Apostolic Conferences of the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits, and members of the Xavier Network and other global networks of the Sector for the Social Apostolate of the Society. As a finishing touch to the week of work at Loyola, a round table was held at Comillas, called "Global Challenges, Answers on the Network", which served as an opportunity to share some of the lessons learned from the work on the on-line network which organizations associated with the Society of Jesus have been carrying out on a worldwide basis since 2008 in areas such as Ecology, Migrations, Natural Resources and Education.
