The conference analyzed the talent and skills of Engineers to be able to act in a multi-faceted way in different surroundings and environments in society
With the title “Value and Talent for Society”, the VII Congreso Nacional de Ingenieros del ICAI (7th National Conference of ICAI Engineers) was inaugurated, continuing until November 21st. The event was attended by Ignacio Galán, President of Iberdrola and ICAI Engineer, who pointed out in his speech, “The Vocation of Service toward Others”, that ICAI Engineers and professionals who graduate from these classrooms “are not only trained in the technical realm, but also in values”.
Mariano Ventosa, Director of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería ICAI (ICAI School of Engineering), also reiterated this idea and reminded the audience that in the classrooms of the School the best engineers are trained in the world and “in service to others”, and he pointed out the “international outlook of ICAI”. “The prestige of the letters ICAI attract more students with better grade point averages”, said Ventosa, who added that students are venturing more and more to foreign destinations and that the international agreements in the School with University institutions around the world fill the classrooms with a large number of exchange students. “We have 70 Doctoral students, of whom 30 are from abroad”, pointed out Ventosa.
