The Chancellor of the Pontifical Academies of Sciences and Social Sciences participated in Science Week at Comillas

“Laudato Si’ (the recent encyclical by the Pope) takes scientific facts whose contents have been amalgamated for a new brand of Theology, into consideration,”, confirmed Bishop Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo, Chancellor of the Pontifical Academies of Sciences and Social Sciences, at an event organized by the Chair for Science, Technology and Religion and the Faculty of Theology, on the occasion of Science Week at Comillas.  The theme at hand is a “profoundly religious encyclical”, which moreover incorporates social doctrine of the Church into a new view on Nature.  “A text like this is not found in other encyclicals”, he stated, since we are currently facing “Creation in a dynamic state”.
